Essentials for Running

Running is one of the most popular and easiest exercises used to lose weight. If you are one of those who enjoy running, then before going outside you should be fully prepared. For running different types of clothes and gear are suggested.

Whether you are new to running or you are a regular runner, still you need to upgrade your running gears as summer is coming. Different seasons need different running essentials.

So from t-shirts, sunscreen to shoes we have brought you a new blog related to clothes and gear you should wear for your running routine:-

T-shirts

If you run in daylight, then you should cover your skin and should wear full sleeves t-shirt. Exposure of body parts to the sun can cause skin ageing and can increase the risk of skin cancer.

T-shirt thickness should be less to help in sweat evaporation. Sweat absorbing t-shirts will be helpful to keep you cooler when it's hot outside.

Track Pants

Lower for running should be selected carefully. Wearing jeans or thick track pants can cause trouble as they absorb sweat like a sponge and can cause rashes etc to the skin.

For running sweat-absorbent track pants should be used. Lots of options are available online for sweat-absorbent track pants.

Water bottle

The human body consists of an average of 60% of water. But while running our body loses fluid by sweating. And not drinking regular water can cause dehydration and can be responsible for fatigue, headache, and dry skin. So it's advised to carry a water bottle while going for a long run.

NOTE:- It's advised not to drink a large quantity of water before 2 hours of running.

Sunscreen

Use sunscreen if you are running in daylight. Sunscreen is important as they help prevent sunburn, skin cancer and premature ageing. Sunscreen with an SPF of more than 30 is recommended.

Clothes colour

Clothes colour should be chosen appropriately according to time of running. For day time wearing dark coloured clothes is not advised as dark colours are a good absorbent of heat and light and thus will warm up more speedily. So wear light colour clothes during the day.

If you go running in the early morning or in the evening, then you should be wearing clothes with reflective stripes. Reflective stripes make you highly visible to moving vehicles and decrease the chances of accidents.

Socks

Always wear socks while going on running as they help in grip and avoid direct friction between shoes and skin. For running always choose socks that are sweat absorbent. Socks of cotton should always be avoided unless you are in a cold climate. Cotton socks absorb sweat and are responsible for smelly feet.

Shoes

Only running shoes are advised if you are going for a run.Boots are used by some for running. Although boots are tough and long-lasting but they are not suitable for running.

Running shoes are designed especially for running activities. They have a flexible sole which helps in full feet movement. Running shoes are mostly lightweight which makes runners feel less tired. JQR Flexy is recommended here.
