Summer season is knocking on the door. Temperature is starting to rise above 30 degrees celsius. In this hot weather, the chances of dehydration, heat exhaustion, heat cramps, and heat stroke are high. Some of these conditions can be fatal. Prolonged exposure to hot weather should be avoided.

Those of you who like to go for walks or jogging should not worry. There are certain tips that you should follow which will surely decrease the negative effects of summer on your walk.

1.Walk when it's cool outside

In winter you can go for walk any time of the day like in the morning, evening or even in the afternoon. But in summer your options are reduced. In summer you should go for walk when it's cool outside preferably in the morning. Evening walks can be done but the temperature still remains very high and can cause health problems.

2.Carry a water bottle

When we walk in a hot climate our body loses its fluid through sweating. This can lead to dehydration. So while going on a walk you should always carry a water bottle with you and should take some sips after every 15 minutes. Drinking water will also help in regulating body temperature.

3.Cover your head

In summer sun rays falling directly on the head are of high intensity. These sun rays increase body temperature. Even at normal temperature, direct sun rays on the head can be dangerous. To avoid this, the head should be covered properly. Cap and bandana can be used here.

4.Decreasing walking distance

In summer you should decrease your walking distance a little.By decreasing distance, you will be less exposed to heat.

5.Taking breaks

Regular breaks should be taken in a shady area like tress. These breaks will cool down body temperature and avoid overheating. Breaks are suggested after every 15 minutes or 2 KM distance.

6.Wearing suitable clothes

For summer walks, thin-layered clothes should be worn. This will avoid insulation and heat-trapping in clothes. Light coloured clothes are also recommended as they are good reflectors of light and heat deflectors.

7.Ventilated shoes

Shoes that have proper ventilation help in air circulation in shoes. Breathable shoes help in removing moisture formed in shoes due to sweat. This will help in avoiding fungal infections also. CADBURY By JQR is a good shoe with proper ventilation.
